Raid drills for your mod team.

ModScrim floods a practice chat that only your team can see with spam built to slip past your channel’s own filters. Your mods race to clear it. Then Twitch grades your filters, and the blocked terms that close the gaps go live when you approve them, with one-click undo.

Practice chat This demo runs in your browser. Nothing is posted to Twitch.

A small raid is about to land.

You have 30 seconds. Click a message to delete it. Delete the spam and leave your regulars alone: deleting a regular is a foul. Anything nobody removes within 9 seconds slips through.

How a drill runs

About six minutes from the first whistle to a report. Your mods practise on fake accounts in a chat only they can see, and your filters get tested against attacks they have never seen.

  1. Pick a play

Choose the tactics: fake giveaway links, follower and viewer spam, art and promo bots. Set the length, the speed and how long a line can sit before it slips through.

  2. First whistle

Your mods join from any device with a 6-digit code. Every screen says practice, and your viewers see a safe overlay with the attack text blurred out.

  3. The raid lands

A line every second and a half, mixed with harmless banter. Mods delete, time out or ban. The first action wins; a line nobody touches for 9 seconds slips through.

  4. Final whistle

Each mod gets caught, false bans and average reaction time, and the reveal shows which lines were attacks and which tricks they used.

  5. Twitch grades your filters

Every attack line goes through Twitch’s Check AutoMod Status: “9 of 14 attack lines would get past your filters.”

  6. Fix the rules

Up to six blocked terms that catch what got past, each checked against last week’s real chat so it can’t ban a regular.

  7. Prove it on a fresh wave

A new wave built with tricks the rule finder never saw. You see blocked before and after, and real-chat matches, which must be zero.

  8. Approve and push

Nothing reaches Twitch until you press the button. Undo removes every term the drill pushed.

Twitch keeps score on your filters

The headline numbers come from Twitch’s own Check AutoMod Status, not from ModScrim grading itself. Where Twitch’s hourly limit runs out, the number says “local estimate” instead.

House rules

ModScrim is a practice tool. These rules keep practice from ever touching the real thing.

Read the full safety page

  • Practice stays in practice

Generated attacks only appear in the practice chat. ModScrim never posts them to Twitch, and every link ends in .invalid, so it can’t open.

  • Viewers see a safe overlay

The OBS overlay shows usernames, outcomes and the scoreboard, with every attack message drawn as a blurred bar. Viewers never learn a working trick.

  • You push every change

No term reaches your channel until you press Approve, and every push has an Undo. ModScrim reads your AutoMod settings and never changes them.

  • Your chat log stays yours

Kept for 7 days, used only to check that new rules don’t ban your regulars, never shown on stream, and deleted when you ask or sign out.

  • Not affiliated with Twitch

ModScrim is an independent tool that signs in with Twitch. It isn’t made or endorsed by Twitch.

Run your first drill tonight.

Sign in with Twitch, share the mod link and blow the whistle. Setup takes about three minutes, and nothing needs installing.
